FYI, assuming the your beast has the same density as almost all living things on earth, this is any easy way to calculate weight:
Pretend your beast was 6' tall and estimate a weight (say 300#). Then divide the real height by 6' (40'/6' = 6.67). Then cube that number (6.67x6.67x6.67 = 296.7). Finally, mutiply the number by your estimate weight at 6' (296.7x300 = 29010 lbs). Thus, I would guess that your beast is actually 29,010 lbs (or 14.5 tons or 13.2 metric tons). If you want your beast to be a different density adjust the 6' high number up or down (twice as dense 600'
This only works, of course, if you can estimate the weight of 6' high version of your kaiju. Personally I find it much easier to imagine the weight of 6' (or 2 meter) beast since I see these everyday! After that it is simply math, volume (and thus mass if density remains the same) increases at the cube of the difference in height. A 2'x2'x2' cube has a volumw of 8', but a 4'x4'x4' cube (twice as big) has a volume of 64' (8x larger or 2x2x2). I hope this helps.

People think I'm witty. I'm not witty, I'm sarcastic. Wit is Wit, sarcasm is being nasty with a smile.
